Individualized Home Support

Individualized Home Supports are services for people who live in their own home or family home. Eligible individuals must receive services through one of the following waivers: Brain Injury (BI); Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), Community Alternative Care (CAC); and Developmental Disabilities (DD).

Services can be provided at home and/or in the community. We provide services in this category with training for the individual or for family members who support the individual. Services can also be provided remotely.

Individualized Home Supports (IHS) covers community living services in the following four categories: Community participation; Health, safety and wellness; Household Management; and Adaptive skills.

IHS with Training

This service option is provided to individuals when their support and training needs fall within one of the four community living service categories mentioned above.

IHS with Family Training

This option serves the needs of individuals who live with family members. Training is provided to both the individual and their family members. The purpose of the training is to equip family members with the skills to care for the individual and to help them live comfortably at home.
